Clash of the Titans 2 Movie Plot

The official plot synopsis of Clash of the Titans 2 Wrath of the Titans has been revealed:

Plot:
"A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus—the demigod son of Zeus—is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld.
Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’ godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’ remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind."

Sounds like Gemma Arterton won't be on board the sequel...

Clash of the Titans 2 Movie - Clash of the Titans Sequel

The remake movie Clash of the Titans hasn't been released yet. But the studios are already planning for a sequel. Yep, we get ready for Clash of the Titans 2. And actually Director Louis Leterrier even revealed that they've been thinking about doing a trilogy from the start:

"I wrote two other Clash of the Titans movies. It was three movies. Warners came to me and said 'we'll greenlight your movie if you promise us two more.' You can tell that the story doesn't end after the first movie. I promise you that I've got more. And I've got good more. It's not like I've got more of the same, I've got more of different. It goes beyond any heroes that you've heard of. We've opened the door to Greek mythology."

Well, for Clash of the Titans 2 to be greenlit, the first film still has to bring enough money in. But I'm confident this won't be a problem: Director Louis Leterrier and Sam Worthington make a hell of a team, and the first opus of the Clash of the Titans movie series should fare well.
